Testimonial from student:
"Robert has been my guitar teacher for several years now.  I first met him when my oldest son wanted to take bass lessons.  After a little while I decided I wanted to improve my guitar playing and discussed my goals with Robert.  He started teaching me from the Berklee series of books and with some dedication and practice, I found myself reading music.  I gained the confidence to begin playing in a praise worship band for the children's service at church and even  played solo acoustic guitar for our hispanic worship service.  Over time, my musical goals have changed and I'm now focused on jazz.  Robert has proven himself to be knowledgeable, flexible, reliable, and patient.  He's a great musician too!  I would and have recommended him to people I know."  -Dean, parent and adult student

Testimonial from parent:
My son Max took guitar lessons from Mr. Bussey for 1 year and 8 months.  In that time Max took on a confidence that I had not seem while taking lessons from a previous studio.  Mr. Bussey made my son feel like he could be the greatest guitar player ever.  When he left Mr. Bussey’s after lessons he was always smiling and couldn’t wait to get home to play more.  I feel Mr. Bussey is a man with great integrity and patience and works well with anyone.  If you hire Mr. Bussey your company will definitely be blessed to have him.  He’s an asset and his behavior leads me to believe he’s a Christian which means a lot to me.   I just can’t stress enough what a wonderful person I think he is.  The way the world is today, we can use more Mr. Bussey’s!" - Lisa, parent

Chris Jones
Guitar  (Acoustic and Electric)

BTEC Diploma in Creative Music Weymouth College, UK
Professional Memberships: National Federation of Music Clubs

Chris Jones has been playing guitar for the past 14 years, and has been teaching guitar for 7 years. He has taught lessons at Mars Music and Accent on Music. Chris is experienced in teaching guitar to various age students and levels. Chris' extensive training in music theory allows him to teach composition and songwriting to his students. He is an active performer as well; his jazz quartet having performed extensively throughout the area. Some of the area jazz musicians Chris has performed with include Ron Brendle, John Alexander, Chris Garges, Al Sergel, Elisa Pruittt and many more.

Chris teaches many different styles of music, and at the academy teaches both acoustic and electric guitar. His teaching style is goal-oriented and motivating, inspiring his students to reach the level of dedication it takes to learn an instrument. Interestingly enough, Chris began to study guitar at age 19, older than the average student. Because of his strong desire to learn to play the guitar and to learn about music as a whole, he progressed very quickly. Chris is looking forward to inspiring students at the Academy to do the same!
