Lori Williams

Lori Williams

Music has been a major part of Lori’s life since she began piano lessons at the age of 7 in Mint Hill. Lori has been teaching piano privately for over 20 years. One can easily tell when speaking with Lori that she has a teacher’s heart! She enjoys customizing lessons to meet each child’s specific learning style and needs. She writes, “I love working with children and helping them learn to appreciate music!” A favorite part of Lori’s recitals has long been “Our Songs,” a collection of songs her students compose and perform themselves. For years Lori led piano camps and the Preludes early childhood music program at CAM. Today she focuses on private piano teaching. Lori’s students continually early high ratings in piano performance and music theory assessments, but most importantly, they develop a lifelong love of music.  We believe that can be attributed to their teacher’s enthusiasm for music and care for her students.

Since Lori was a teenager, she has accompanied, assisted and/or directed children’s choirs as well as hand bell, youth and adult choirs. Currently she serves as pianist at Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church. Lori holds a Bachelor of Science degree from UNC Chapel Hill. She also holds a professional membership with the National Federation of Music Clubs. Lori is married and the proud mother of three children: Katie, Hannah and Michael who also play piano, violin and flute.
