Christmas Tree Santas

November 2016 – CAM is so excited to be assisting Christmas Tree Santas in spreading hope and joy this holiday season. This all volunteer, non-profit will be giving away fresh Christmas trees and decorations to 150 of our neighbors this holiday season. Our task is to light those trees!

CAM families, teachers, staff and anyone who might like to assist is invited to drop off new sets of Christmas lights in the box provided in our waiting room. It will take between 450-600 strands to light 150 trees…which is a lot. However, we know the hearts of our families!  If every student at CAM brought in just 1 set of lights we would meet over half of our goal!

The seed for the Christmas Tree Santas was planted in 2010 when founder Alex Gramling gave a tree to a struggling family during the holidays. He was so moved by their joy and gratitude that he decided to help other deserving families meet this seasonal need. With help from enthusiastic friends and supporters, Christmas Tree Santas was launched in 2011.

In their first year, the Santas distributed over 300 free Christmas trees at two locations. In 2016, their sixth season of giving, they will give away their 4,500th tree!
