CAM 2018 Graduates

“I hope your dreams take you… to the corners of your smiles, to the highest of your hopes, to the windows of your opportunities, and to the most special places your heart has ever known.”

This time each year we are reminded how difficult it is to say farewell to our graduating seniors. Many of our students stay with us for years. When we say “CAM family” we really mean it. We have the opportunity to watch these children grow up, and the priviledge to be counted among their mentors. You’ll often find a box of Kleenex nearby at senior recitals. They have a special place in our hearts. Oh how proud we are of Charlotte Academy of Music’s Class of 2018!

Sarah Austin started at CAM the year we opened our doors for the first time! She has studied with Manana Restiano for 10 years. Sarah has also participated in our Piano Artistry Program. We recently enjoyed Sarah’s beautiful Senior Recital held at CAM. Sarah is a graduate of Marvin Ridge High School and will be attending NC State this fall.

Bianca Burnett began piano lessons at the age of 5 in Regina Ziliani’s home studio. Now, 13 years later, she is continues to study with Regina and is preparing for her Senior Recital. At CAM Bianca has participated in the Piano Artistry program, summer camps, and ensembles. Bianca recently graduated from Charlotte Catholic High School. This fall, she will start St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana where she will major in Psychology and minor in Music.

A few weeks ago we enjoyed Joshua’s stellar Senior Recital held at the Academy. This fall, he will attend UNCC and plans to major in Music, Piano and Viola Performance.
