CAM Student Earns NFMC 12th Consecutive Superior

Brittlyn Anderson, CAM Piano Artistry student, earned her 12th consecutive Superior rating in the Piano Solo event at the NFMC Federation Festival earlier this year. She was recently presented a trophy from her teacher, Regina Ziliani.  “Brittlyn started piano when she was 5 years old in my group piano classes. She performed at Federation Festival that first year of lessons. This year, as a high school junior, she performed at the highest level, Musically Advanced 2, and took the highest level Music Theory test. She scored Superior on both. I am pretty sure that in my 30 years of teaching I’ve never had a student with a busier schedule, yet she manages to do it all with grace and a smile. Brittlyn never backs down from a challenge. I’m so very proud of her.”

In addition to being a dedicated piano student, Brittlyn is also a competitive figure skater, a member of the Providence High School choral program, active in her church and in community service.

The NFMC Festivals Program is designed to give Junior (age 18 and younger) and Adult member musicians of all abilities the opportunity to perform and receive a yearly evaluation in a non-competitive environment. Participation in NFMC Festivals promotes music study, stimulates interest in the musical literature of both the USA and the world, and encourages each participant to reach a high standard of musical achievement. The NFMC Festivals Cup Award Plan and Honor Certificates offer additional incentives to encourage continued participation in NFMC Festivals.
