“Calvin and Eli have been with CAM since before their preschool days and have progressed through their piano studies over the last 10 years. Regina, the director, is very personable and was able to match us with a wonderful and encouraging piano teacher, Ms. Phyllis Teague. The boys were also fortunate to start strings shortly after that, and CAM was able to coordinate our schedule to make it all possible. The convenience of having multiple lessons at the same location with different instruments is invaluable to a busy family. Calvin and Eli studied violin and cello with Ms. Amanda Turner and Ms. Victoria McLaughlin respectively, both wonderful energetic teachers, who helped the boys become involved in the Union County Prelude Orchestra, JYO (Junior Youth Orchestra), CSYO (Charlotte Symphony Youth Orchestra), and now YOC (Youth Orchestra of Charlotte). The staff at CAM is top-notch and care about their students. They are each so talented in their unique ways.
We’ve also enjoyed the Piano Artistry program at CAM which have allowed the boys to mature musically through the well-taught master classes, the out-of-box inspiring summer camps, and the challenging competitions and festivals that have been offered. We have enjoyed the relaxed, fun, safe family-oriented atmosphere at CAM where everyone is a friend, and we would recommend CAM to anyone. You just never know where the arts will take you!”
