Charlotte Academy of Music is a year round music studio. As such, we continually enroll new students throughout the year. However, there is a short window of time when things are a bit different. About two weeks in July we are in the midst of a current Academic Year, yet also enrolling for the coming Academic Year. Read on for answers to several frequently asked questions, and learn about our enrollment process.
Do I have to complete an enrollment form for 2021-2022? We love CAM and just want to keep things just as they are.
Short answer… Yes. When you enroll with CAM you are signing up for 1 Academic Year. Once your annual enrollment is completed, you are good to go for the entire year!
I want to keep my lesson day, time, and teacher. Can I do that?
Absolutely! Students who stay enrolled all year will have access to an early enrollment period. This is your best opportunity to keep your lesson day/time/teacher. However, do note that all lesson times are first come, first served, as we never have 100% guarantee that every student will return, and we want to make sure our teachers have full schedules. Best advice is to stay enrolled all year, and submit your registration as soon as early enrollment begins. Be sure to include your best lesson day(s) and time frame in the Availability section of the enrollment form. This will greatly help us in finding a convenient lesson slot for you. Then submit your form and easy peasy.. you’re all set!
Do I use the same form to sign up for all of my family’s activities with CAM?
We need 1 enrollment form per student, per instrument. Also, please note that we have separate enrollment forms for Music Lessons and another for Musical Theatre.
When can students not currently enrolled at CAM submit their registration?
If you are not a currently enrolled CAM student, you can submit your registration during Open Enrollment. This year Open Enrollment begins on August 2nd. Definitely plan to enroll on August 2nd or shortly thereafter to find a time slot or class that works well for your family.
When does the 2021-2022 Academic Year begin?
All the fun begins the week of August 16th for Music Lessons and August 24th for Musical Theatre classes.
