We are excited to be once again this hosting the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC) Piano Solo Festival at Charlotte Academy of Music on February 27th! It is a great relief to be able to provide this opportunity in person for our students when so many other events have been canceled or postponed. However, as you might imagine, we have had to make some significant changes in order to conduct the Festival in line with our COVID-19 precautions. Below you will find very important information that will help us have a successful Festival. Please read carefully.
- Only participating students and our Festival staff will be allowed in the building. Parents are asked to wait outside. Our Festival staff will be there to assist your child every step of the way from check-in, to finding their room, with lots of smiles and congratulations along the way!
- By now you have received your playing time from your teacher. Students will enter the building 2 minutes prior to their playing time. This is incredibly important. For example, if your playing time is 9:44 AM, you enter the building at 9:42 AM. Check in at the table in our lobby and you will then be directed to your playing room.
- Masks are required for anyone inside our facility.
- As always, students must bring the music for the pieces they are performing.
- Time slots have been lengthened to allow for cleaning in between adjudications and proper social distancing.
- We will only have 3 studio rooms adjudicating the entire day.
- Students will receive a certificate upon completion of their adjudication. Rating sheets will be sent home at the student’s next lesson.
