Sara Jackson

Columbia, SC native Sara Jackson has studied and performed a variety of musical genres, from opera, to musical theatre, to heavy metal! Sara earned her Bachelor of Arts and Performance Certificate in Voice from the University of South Carolina in 2013 and her Master of Voice Performance from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2017. While in Boston, Sara performed in the regional tour of Queen Boudicca: A Metal Opera, a concert experience that combined classical music with Celtic instruments and a rock band. Sara also studied opera at the graduate level in Redlands, CA, where she participated in Songfest in LA and performed with Redlands Opera Theatre. Sara has also completed several years of coursework for her Doctor of Musical Arts in Voice Performance with a minor in Jazz Studies. She currently resides in Waxhaw, NC, where she enjoys singing solo gigs, performing with bands, and singing in choir. Sara has enjoyed teaching voice and piano for ten years. She has taught privately as well as for companies like Columbia Children’s Theatre. Sara also teaches piano at CAM.

Sara enjoys helping students find their voice, gain confidence, prepare for auditions, and reach their musical goals.
