We are inching closer and closer to LIVE concerts once again, and are so thankful! At this time we are planning our June 5th Totally 80’s concert to be held in person at CAM (so get your leg warmers and parachute pants ready!)
Our Academy wide Spring Concert will be held virtually the first weekend in May. Concert videos will be due by April 22nd and should be shared in Google Drive with director@charlotteacademyofmusic.com. Each student will perform 1 piece. Remember to put the student’s name and piece title in the title of the video file, otherwise it might get lost in the shuffle! Here are some ways you can help your child get excited about our Spring Virtual Concert…
- With your teacher, choose the perfect piece!
- Dress for success! A lovely spring outfit would be nice.
- Perform outside on a pretty day if your instrument allows.
- If performing inside, perhaps have some fresh flowers in the video.
- Invite friends and family to enjoy the concert once the link is provided.
- If you would like to record your performance at CAM, check on studio availability with Danelle at 704-545-7400.
It is a tradition that at our Spring Concert we present our Student Awards. Many of our students participate in Festival, NCMTA, Forum, and other events in which they earn special recognition. We will be presenting awards to students at their lessons the week of May 10th. We will have a special backdrop set up and make photos which will be sent to the award recipient’s family. We look forward to celebrating our dedicated students’ achievements!
